Apex Legends is a new free-to-play Battle Royale game from EA and Respawn. Respawn has already worked on the Titanfall franchise and even though there was no announcement for another game in the series, that is not that bad keeping in mind that we got Apex Legends instead. The game has been live for a couple of hours now and already have a million players, so you could call it an instant hit.
How To Download Apex Legends On Different Platforms
Apex Legends is free to play on PC, Xbox One and PS4. On PC you can download it from the Origin store. On PS4 you can download it from the PlayStation Store. On Xbox One, You can download the game from the Microsoft store, where all your other games can be downloaded from.
Number Of Players
Each character is called a Legend and you cannot have a duplicate legend in a squad and that is why you will need to coordinate with the rest of the team to see which legend you should pick and which legends the other members should go with. Each squad can have up to 3 players. There are a total of 20 squads in a game which means 60 players in total. The game is based in the Titanfall world so there are a couple of cool features that will help you communicate with the rest of your squad in order to come out on top.
Content Roadmap
Even though Apex Legends just released, EA and Respawn have already revealed a content roadmap that tells the players about what they can expect in the future. The content roadmap mentions the following
- There are four seasons in 2019, the first arriving in March
- Each season will be three months in length
- Each season offers a Battle Pass, new Legends (Apex Legends character classes), new weapons and new loot
- Apex Legends Season 1 begins in March
- Apex Legends Season 2 begins in June
- Apex Legends Season 3 begins in September
- Apex Legends Season 4 begins in December
Right now we do not know what will be included in the Apex Legends Battle Pass but the concept is not a new one and you can expect to see something similar to Fortnite.
Crossplay Is Coming Soon
The game will get crossplay down the line which will allow PC gamers to play with their console buddies. We are not sure when this will happen but it is planned.
