Acer is Jumping on the HDMI 2.1 Bandwagon with New 4K Monitors

Acer has unveiled three new monitors as part of its Nitro and Predator series which will feature 4K and HDMI 2.1. All these monitors are gaming-focused and feature high refresh rates and high resolutions and are priced in ranges of $899.99 up to $1,199.99.

The three new monitors part of the Nitro and Predator Monitor series are the Predator XB273U NX, the Predator XB323QK NV, and the Nitro XV282K KV. The Acer Predator XB323QK NV and Nitro XV282K KV come with the  TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe certification. They are the first gaming monitors with this certification which ensures fewer eyestrains and longer gaming sessions for users.

Acer’s Digital Display Business President Victor Chien has said the following about the monitors in the Press brief.

Our newest gaming monitors feature the industry’s latest technology to give gamers smooth performance and comfortable ergonomics; designed to appeal to the most power-hungry gamers, our Predator gaming monitors have proven their quality and reliability as a top choice of pro-gamers as well as those who want to have fun.

The new Predator and Acer Nitro monitors are available in a variety of designs and sizes to support just about anyone in the market for a gaming monitor.

Coming to the monitors, the Predator XB273U NX has a 2560 x 1440 WQHD resolution and a high refresh rate of up to 275 Hz, ideal for games requiring fast reflexes. On the other side Predator XB323QK NV and the Nitro XV282K KV both feature a 144 Hz refresh rate and a 4K display for high fidelity viewing.

Acer 4K Monitor HDMI 2.1

The Acer Nitro XV282K KV is the only monitor of all above which also features two HDMI 2.1 ports, which further enables the high resolution and high refresh rate that this monitor can provide. The monitor can cover 90% of the DCI-P3 color gamut for highly color accurate displays.

Both of the Predator monitors feature Acer VisionCare 4.0, including LightSense, AdaptiveLight, ColorSense, and even ProxiSense. All of these technologies are designed to allow gamers to avoid strained eyes when having longer gaming sessions.

Coming to pricing and availability, the Predator XB273U NX monitor will be available in North America in May starting at  $1,099.99. The Predator XB323QK NV monitor will be available in North America in May starting at $1,199.99. The Nitro XV282K KV monitor will be available in North America in May starting at $899.99.
