According to official sales figures, last week New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe claimed the number one spot followed by Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown. This has made the launch, biggest ever in the entire Ace Combat franchise since the first title. Claiming a spot in the Top 10 sales chart if the game does not belong to a more common genre is very hard.

As you can see that GTA V is still selling in huge amounts even after all these years since its release. The third spot is claimed by Red Dead Redemption 2 followed by Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 which is highly successful because of its battle royale mode Blackout.
The list ends with PS1 classic remastered trilogies Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Spyro Reignited Trilogy. Both of these are nostalgic yet amazing titles. However, the month is not yet over and January 2019 is ending with two solid titles incoming.
Resident Evil 2 Remake and Kingdom Hearts III both are coming out this week and both of them are fan favorites which means that this list will be changed at the end of the month. For the time being, Ace Combat 7 is enjoying the second spot and it truly deserves because of its solid aerial combat mechanics and gorgeous visuals.
