Asobo Studios latest trailer for A Plague Tale: Innocence gives us an overview of the gameplay and what players should expect in the upcoming game. In the trailer, we get to see the two playable characters of the game; Amicia and Hugo, who have to survive in the horrid environment they have been thrown into.
The timing of the trailer comes at the right time as the game is just an under a couple of weeks till launch on May 14, 2019. Take a look at the overview trailer of A Plague Tale: Innocence below:
In the game, we get to see a man who is being executed by the Inquisition soldiers. While it is not made clear who the man is, it is safe to assume that he is the father of both Amici and Hugo. These are the game’s main characters.
We get to see Amicia who is not alone in this adventure, but with her brother Hugo who is young and sick with a disease. They have to go through the streets of the plague-ridden France, filled with rats and other dangers. While Amicia is the main protagonist, who is trying to lead both herself and her brother out of danger and to find a cure for his sickly brother Hugo. Even with his illness, Hugo plays a vital role in the partnership to keep both safes at key moments.
Combat is also shown in the trailer, where Amicia and Hugo, both still very young children, have to fight against heavily armored soldiers with their wits rather than taking them head-on. This is where Players will have to think of using the environment to their use in taking the enemies down. Nonetheless, Amicia wields a sling throughout the game that can be used as a weapon.
