A new Dragon Ball Game Called Project Z is Coming in 2019

Bandai Namco has announced a new action RPG game called Project Z which is a retelling of the Z saga. The news came in yesterdays World Tour Finals, where a teaser trailer was shown.

The game will see players taking control of Goku to enact some of the greatest anime moments in history. This will include taking down villains like Raditz, Gohan and Frieza. Though the trailer does not reveal much, it does show the beautiful environments that Goku can be seen traversing in.

Other than the trailer, there was not much information provided about the game. however, the game is planned to release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC and being built by Unreal engine by the Japanese developer CyberConnect2.

The story will revolve around telling Goku’s story, which suggest that the developers are trying to give a brief history recap to fans of the anime, or to provide new players with a storyline of Dragon Ball events in a beautiful gaming experience.

Although a release date was not provided by Bandai Namco, we expect more details coming out soon. Especially considering that the release window is set for this year.

Project Z was not the only announcement that came in the tournament, as four new characters were announced for the second season of Dragon Ball Fighter Z. The characters are Videl, Jiren that are coming in a few days on 31 January. While the other two are Broly and Gogeta that are “coming soon.”

The first season pass of the game cost $34.99 which is likely what will be cost of the second season pass. More details can be expected about the price, and the other character details in the coming weeks from Bandai Namco.
