This STALKER 2: Cost of Hope Luftgarde Weapon Guide explains how to obtain the special Luftgarde weapon hidden inside the Iron Forest. You will need to get the Water Drop artefact before you reach it, which can either be obtained during the story or collected from a separate location. Once you have the artifact, you can use it to safely pass through an anomaly and reach the weapon.
Luftgarde Weapon Guide – STALKER 2: Cost of Hope
The first thing you need for this weapon is the Water Drop Artifact, which you can obtain naturally by progressing through the story missions. However, you can also collect it from the DPP-2 location on the map.
When you reach the location and enter the area, you will see the Water Drop Artifact.
The way out is blocked by a series of openings, so you need to move the artifact through them rather than simply picking it up and walking away.
This can be done by shooting the artifact. Each shot will cause it to bounce around the area, allowing you to gradually move it toward the next opening. Keep adjusting your position and shooting it until you manage to send it through the hole to the other side.
Once the artifact has passed through the hole, move into the next section and repeat the same process. You will again need to shoot it so that it travels through another opening.
After getting it through, return around the area and continue down the passage. In the second room, you will find a doorway which leads to a set of stairs. Make your way up these stairs and move forward through a door frame until you reach another room with a fence. This is the final area involved in moving the artifact.
You could technically head directly to this final room, but following the route makes it clearer where the artifact needs to be moved. Continue shooting the Water Drop Artifact until it reaches the required position, which is going to be the entrance where the fence was. When the artefact is in its position, go back around to the entrance, following the same route, to collect the Water Drop Artifact.
Once you’ve successfully obtained the artifact, you can move to the location of the unique weapon. With the Water Drop Artifact in your inventory, travel to the Iron Forest.
Once you are in the correct area, enter the building and make your way downstairs.
As you approach the lower section, you will encounter several anomalies. Before moving through this area, make sure you have a bolt ready, as you will need it to deal with the anomalies along the route.
The important part of this section is equipping the Water Drop Artifact before passing through the dangerous area. The artifact allows you to move through the anomaly without taking damage, which makes reaching the weapon possible.
Once the artifact is equipped, continue through the anomaly and head farther inside. When you reach the other side, look for the desk in the room. The unique Leftgarde weapon is sitting on top of it for you to equip. Simply interact with the item on the desk to collect the weapon and add it to your inventory.
