This Mortal Shell 2 guide details how you can get the Eredrem Shell in the game. The journey to attain the Eredrem Shell begins at Widow’s Overlook Beacon, and throughout the journey you pass through the Mushroom Village, unlock Mother’s Breath, and defeat a boss to attain the Shell.
Eredrem Shell Guide – Mortal Shell 2
If you have unlocked the One Legged Wolf beacon, start from there; otherwise, you will begin your journey from Widow’s Overlook.
From the beacon, turn right and walk forward towards the Mushroom Village.

After entering the village, turn right and break down the boxes that obstruct the path. Pass through, then turn left and head up.

It is recommended to unlock the Mother’s Breathe continuing the game.
To unlock it, cleanse the gate in this area. This will need to be done on the large section in front of you, after which you will be able to remove the corruption that is blocking the route.

Once the corruption is removed, move ahead and take a right. After some time, you’ll come to another beacon which can be used as a starting point for the next part of the journey. From this beacon, take the path on and drop down when necessary. You can pick up the resources that are available on your way. Thereafter, follow the stone steps on the left.
At the top, an enemy will be waiting for you. Defeat it and look towards the side of the area where you will see an object on a stone ledge. Interact with it and travel to the Citadel of Penants.

Once you arrive, collect the item here off the ground and open the gate. Walk deeper into the place until you reach a room with a wooden platform.

In case you die and the platform has already moved to the top, look for the nearby wooden pole; interacting with it will bring the platform back down so you can use it again. Once you reach the upper section, there will be more enemies around the area. Instead of clearing all of them, move toward the middle of the room, which will lead to the fight with the boss.
You can fight the boss patiently, as the boss isn’t too quick on his feet. Dodge and parry the attacks and slowly inflict damage. After you defeat the boss, you’ll be able to interact with Aerum. This is where you can collect the Shell, but before you can do that, you need to complete the Shell memory.
To do so, press the button on Aerum to select The Choice for Aerum memory. Follow the objectives inside the memory until you’ve completed the sequence. When the memory is complete, the Aerum Shell will be ready for equipping.
Aerum has abilities that modify the Shell’s behaviour in battle. The first is Shoulder Bash, which lets you run up to enemies while holding down Triangle. The second one is Ethereal Direon, which will combine all the Direon into a shockwave that will inflict break damage. Aerum also features a passive known as Executioner; this develops the skill of Slaughter and can then be used to repeat the attack on enemies with low health.
