This Mortal Shell 2 guide explains where you can find Tiel and how to unlock his abilities after you have secured the shell early in the game. The shell can be secured from Widows Overlook, and you can avoid most of the enemies on the way. You will also need to complete a short Shell Memory before Teal will be available once found.
Tiel Shell Guide – Mortal Shell 2
To obtain the shell, first go to the Widows Overlook Beacon. This area can be accessed at normal speed from Marrow Keep. Take the teleport from Marrow Keep to the top of the area, then to Widows Overlook.
From the beacon, head right and follow the path. You will encounter a number of enemies on the way, but you don’t need to fight them. Just run past them and easily head towards the destination. Continue to go along the trail until you reach a small canyon; here you will find an opening that will lead to another area.
Go through the opening and head to the left; this is where you will find Shell of Tiel.
Interact with the Shell to obtain it. After interacting with the Shell, you’ll enter its Shell Memory, which must be completed before using the Tiel and is called The Rash. The goals within the memory are simple. Follow the tasks presented to you and continue progressing through the sequence until you’ve completed the entire memory. Once the memory is finished, you’ll be able to switch to Teal and begin using the Shell.
Teal’s primary skill is Shadow Step, which makes him invisible before he strikes his enemy; this will allow you to sneak up and attack. Moreover, it also has an evasive ability that can occur before an enemy attack. If applied correctly, it will make you invisible and grant you stagger damage against enemies.
