This Moonlight Peaks Magic Guide details how you can perform magic spells in the game and upgrade your wand. Magic can be useful when unlocking special areas, farming, and accessing special spells. So, an important part of your progress is learning how to restore and upgrade your wand in Moonlight Peaks.
Magic Guide – Moonlight Peaks
The first step of using magic in the game is to repair the wand that the game begins with during Luna’s Magic of Crop Quest. Luna will send you a letter at the beginning of Summer to let you know that she has been working on something and would like to go see it. Go into the forest located above your house to the next cutscene. Learn everything about Moonfruit, a special crop that requires magic to grow, with the help of Luna.
How to Repair Your Wand
Your old wand will not be able to cast a spell to water the crops because it is broken, which is why Luna will lead you to Webb of Wonders to speak with Sabrina. All the while, you will meet Noel, who will fix the wand and let it work again.
Once the wand is repaired, go back to Luna’s farm for another scene, where she will teach you the Aquaflux I spell and will request that you apply it to the Moonfruit for the next 2 days. On both days, go back to her farm and water the Moonfruit with Aquaflux I. After you have completed the task, visit Luna again. She will give you a few Moonfruit Seeds, and her shop will be blessed with magical seeds the next day.
How to Perform Magic Spells
Magic is performed through spells; as you go through the story and meet various characters, you pick them up. In total, there are 12 spells available, and the game keeps track of the spell patterns you have learned, so you can review them later.
A Magic Wand and Mana are required for every spell. The small blue diamonds below the Stamina Bar are the Mana you currently have and are displayed. With a cast spell, one of these diamonds turns grey. One Mana point will regenerate if you get rest at night, and you can use Mana Essence to recover Mana.
You will find Magic primarily useful when you are farming or reaching special areas. In the beginning, it will seem very costly, as you only get 3 Mana points. Some magical seeds will need more work to grow, making farm management more challenging until you’ve got your farm established.
Despite this, magic is more and more significant as one advances in the game. Spells you have unlocked may unlock special crops, materials, and other aspects of the game’s progression.
How to Get the Witch’s Wand
Fixing your original wand is just the start. Eventually, the Witch’s Wand is required for stronger magic.
Witch’s Wand can be earned after completing the A Touch of Magic Quest. You must first advance in Fiona’s story and through her friendship level to unlock this quest. Eventually, one day Fiona will send you a letter and requests you prove your magical abilities. To pass her test and become officially part of the coven, she must learn and cast three spells:
- Maturio – Use magic to grow a crop.
- Tomorrow’s Tears – Use magic to make it rain.
- Hoisthaven – Use magic to move your house.
After casting these spells successfully, return to Fiona, and she will welcome you into the coven and invite you to partake in a ceremony. At the ceremony, Fiona bestows upon you the Witch’s Wand. The upgraded wand automatically swaps with the original wand and lets you use level II spells, which are more powerful than the basic spells.
How to Learn More Spells & Full Spell List
You will be able to buy more spells from Sabrina’s shop once you have unlocked magic and learned Aquaflux I. The shop is named Webb of Wonders and has a variety of spells that help in watering and harvesting the crops.
