Developer Bellring Games has confirmed that its dark fantasy extraction action RPG Mistfall Hunter will launch on July 29 at 6:00 PM PT for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Alongside the release date announcement, the studio has also released a new gameplay trailer showcasing the game’s blend of cooperative combat, PvPvE encounters, and high-risk extraction gameplay.
Set in a world consumed by the mysterious Gyldenmist, Mistfall Hunter places players in the role of a Gyldhunter, a warrior revived by a mysterious girl named Dew and tasked with restoring the shattered Web of Fate. To do so, players must venture into hostile lands to recover Gyldenblod, a rare resource hidden within dangerous regions overrun by monsters and rival hunters.
Like other games in the growing extraction RPG genre, each expedition revolves around balancing risk and reward. Players explore sprawling maps filled with enemies, valuable loot, and competing players, with every run ending in a critical decision: extract safely with collected rewards or continue pushing deeper in search of greater riches. Failing to escape means losing everything carried during the expedition, adding constant tension to every encounter.
Players can tackle hunts alone or team up in squads of up to three players. Cooperation plays a major role during battles against massive monsters, while encounters with rival Gyldhunters introduce an additional PvP element that can quickly turn a successful run into a fight for survival.
Combat combines melee weapons, ranged attacks, and magical abilities across six playable classes, each offering its own playstyle. Rather than locking players into a single weapon, the game also allows mid-battle weapon switching, encouraging players to adapt to different enemy types and combat situations as they unfold.
Bellring Games also plans to expand the experience through seasonal updates. According to the developer, future seasons will introduce new playable classes, unexplored regions, powerful relics, and additional forms of forbidden magic, reshaping the world and providing fresh challenges for returning players.
The studio has also emphasized that progression will be based entirely on gameplay rather than paid advantages. Mistfall Hunter will not include pay-to-win mechanics or purchasable stat boosts, with player success instead determined by skill, teamwork, and the ability to survive each expedition.
Mistfall Hunter launches on July 29 at 6:00 PM PT for PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The game will support both solo play and three-player cooperative squads as players battle through its dark fantasy world and compete to extract valuable loot.
