Elgato has unveiled the Key Light Air MK.2, a redesigned version of its creator-focused LED light that introduces higher brightness, USB-C power, integrated touch controls, and a more flexible mounting system. The new lighting solution is available starting today with a suggested retail price of $139.99, while a standalone light-only version is priced at $119.99.
Positioned as an upgrade to one of the company’s most popular lighting products, the Key Light Air MK.2 features a 15-inch edge-lit LED panel capable of producing up to 2,100 lumens using OSRAM LEDs. Brightness can be adjusted from a subtle fill light to maximum output, while the color temperature is fully adjustable to suit different environments and camera setups. Elgato says the panel’s edge-lit design helps create soft, even illumination that reduces harsh shadows while maintaining flicker-free performance for video recording and livestreaming.
Unlike many desktop lighting solutions that rely on proprietary power connections, the Key Light Air MK.2 operates entirely over USB-C. When connected directly to a computer, it delivers up to 400 lumens, which Elgato says is sufficient for most desk setups. Connecting the light to a 30W or higher USB-C Power Delivery adapter unlocks the full 2,100-lumen output, while compatible USB-C battery packs can also provide maximum brightness for portable use.
The updated model also introduces built-in touch controls, allowing creators to adjust brightness, color temperature, and switch between two customizable presets directly from the light without opening companion software.
For remote management, the Key Light Air MK.2 supports the Elgato Control Center application on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android through both USB and Wi-Fi connections. The light also integrates with Elgato’s Stream Deck ecosystem, enabling creators to control lighting without interrupting recordings or livestreams. Owners of Stream Deck+ can additionally use its rotary dials for more precise adjustments.
Elgato has also redesigned the mounting system to better accommodate compact workspaces. The included clamp stand attaches to the edge of a desk and extends above monitors while offering adjustable height, a ball head for positioning, and integrated cable management. For creators using existing camera rigs or studio equipment, the light can be detached from the stand and mounted using one of three standard 1/4-inch threads. A built-in MagSafe-compatible ring further expands mounting options with compatible magnetic accessories.
To coincide with the launch, Elgato is also offering two optional accessories through its online store. The P30 Power Supply, a 30W USB-C Power Delivery adapter capable of enabling the light’s maximum brightness, is available as a free add-on during launch promotions, while the magnetic Focus Grid, designed to reduce light spill and improve directional control, is offered at a discounted price when purchased alongside the new light.
The Elgato Key Light Air MK.2 is available now through Elgato’s online store in more than 40 countries and regions, with availability at authorized retailers expected to follow shortly. The standard version carries an MSRP of $139.99, while the light-only model is priced at $119.99.
