Aniplex has launched a limited-time collab between Resident Evil Survival Unit, its mobile strategy game co-developed with JOYCITY Corporation, and CAPCOM’s Monster Hunter series. The event is live now worldwide and runs until July 29, 2026.
The crossover brings iconic Monster Hunter creatures into the post-apocalyptic world of Resident Evil Survival Unit, blending the base game’s tactical gameplay with the series’ signature large-scale monster battles. First released in 2004, Monster Hunter has built a global fanbase around cooperative multiplayer hunting across expansive environments, and the collaboration leans into that identity with mission-based battles and special minigames inspired by the franchise. This, combined with the stealthy, horror-focused, and slow-paced combat of the Resident Evil series, certainly appears to be a unique collab event.
