Publisher Arc Games and developer Snapshot Games have announced that FROSTHAVEN is slated for its full release on October 15, 2026. The digital adaptation of Isaac Childres’ acclaimed tabletop RPG is currently available on Steam in Early Access while its full release is planned for Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The full version release date was announced in a new trailer that looks back on FROSTHAVEN’s Early Access journey and highlights many of the improvements made over the past several months. According to Snapshot Games, community feedback has played a major role in shaping the final release, with updates focused on onboarding, user experience, multiplayer, and overall polish.
The full release of FROSTHAVEN will feature a complete story campaign, allowing players to experience the entire FROSTHAVEN adventure from the original board game, including its final chapter. The launch version will also include all 17 playable heroes, with the final character joining the roster alongside the full release.
New players will also find it easier to jump into the game’s deep tactical systems. Snapshot has added a digital-only “Road to Frosthaven” introduction, expanded tutorials, and improved UI elements to help ease players into the complex mechanics that made the tabletop game a favorite among strategy fans.
Other additions arriving with version 1.0 include customizable House Rules, an enhanced multiplayer experience, a new opening cinematic, unlock videos for each hero, and a fully implemented in-game Codex covering the game’s lore, creatures, and locations. Snapshot is also releasing a standalone demo, giving newcomers a chance to try the opening portion of the game before purchasing it.
Based on the board game created by Isaac Childres and published by Cephalofair Games, FROSTHAVEN is the standalone successor to Gloomhaven, widely regarded as one of the highest-rated modern board games. The digital adaptation is being developed by Snapshot Games, the studio led by X-COM creator Julian Gollop.
FROSTHAVEN officially launches on October 15, 2026, for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The game is currently part of the Steam Summer Sale and is offering a 25% discount for all purchases.
