How to Get Atacamite in Subnautica 2

Subnautica 2 Atacamite

This Subnautica 2 Guide details how you can find and farm Atacamite in the game easily. Atacamite is an important resource you will come across as you continue exploring the deeper areas of Subnautica 2. If you are looking to collect some, there are a couple of reliable locations where you can find it.

Atacamite Guide – Subnautica 2

To reach Atacamite, you will first need access to the Alien Ruins area. This area becomes available as you progress through the game’s main storyline. Once you arrive at the ruins, make your way to the nearby Research Outpost.

From the Research Outpost, head directly downward toward the seabed in the east direction. You need to travel roughly 234 metres. Near the bottom, you should begin spotting Atacamite deposits scattered across the ocean floor.

These deposits are easy to recognize because of their dark appearance and sharp, spiky shape. Several nodes can usually be found in this area, making it a convenient place to gather your first batch of the resource.

The location is fairly close to the Alien Ruins, so you won’t need to travel very far once you reach the region.

Second Atacamite Location

If you need more Atacamite, another good area can be found near the Angel Comb. From the previous location, travel east toward this area until you reach the deeper section of the zone. If you start from the Research Outpost, you need to travel roughly 519 metres to the east to reach Angel Comb.

Once there, search around the seafloor and nearby surroundings. Multiple Atacamite deposits can be found spread throughout the area rather than grouped in one place. You should take your time to explore the nearby terrain, which should reveal several nodes that can be harvested.

Mining Atacamite

Before you can collect Atacamite, make sure you have a Sonic Resonator with you. This tool is required to break the deposits and obtain the material inside. Without it, you won’t be able to harvest the resource.

The good news is that each deposit provides a useful amount of Atacamite, so a short mining trip can leave you with plenty of materials for later use.
