CORSAIR is expanding the functionality of its XENEON EDGE 14.5-inch LCD Touchscreen with a major new update that introduces full widget support through the Elgato Marketplace, opening the door for community-created apps, tools, and touchscreen experiences.
The update transforms the XENEON EDGE from a customizable hardware display into a more open software-driven platform similar to how Stream Deck evolved beyond its original feature set. Owners of the touchscreen can now browse, download, and install widgets directly through the Elgato Marketplace using CORSAIR’s iCUE software, dramatically expanding the number of available utilities and personalization options for the device.
To kick things off, CORSAIR is launching more than 20 first-party widgets free of charge. These include practical tools such as system monitoring panels, countdown timers, live sports score trackers, network ping monitors, and even a doodle pad designed for quick sketches and notes directly on the touchscreen.
The move also marks a notable shift in how iCUE widgets are delivered. Previously, widgets were built directly into software updates, meaning users had to wait for major iCUE releases to access new functionality. With Marketplace integration and support arriving through iCUE version 5.44, widgets can now be downloaded and installed independently, giving the platform a much faster and more flexible update cycle.
A major focus of the rollout is community development. CORSAIR and Elgato are encouraging independent creators and hobbyists to build their own touchscreen widgets, even if they have little or no programming experience. According to the company, documentation and development resources are now available through Elgato’s developer portal, while modern AI-assisted coding tools can help simplify the creation process by generating working code from natural language prompts.
That accessibility could significantly broaden the variety of widgets available over time, particularly as users experiment with productivity dashboards, smart home controls, streaming integrations, gaming utilities, and custom monitoring tools tailored to specific workflows.
This strategy mirrors Elgato’s success with Stream Deck, which evolved into a large creator-driven ecosystem fueled by plugins and community-made enhancements. CORSAIR appears to be positioning the XENEON EDGE along a similar path, giving users a more interactive and modular touchscreen experience that extends beyond simple hardware monitoring.
The new widget platform is available now through the Elgato Marketplace, while the XENEON EDGE touchscreen continues to be sold through CORSAIR’s retail and online channels worldwide.
