Atari has announced seven new homebrew cartridges through AtariAge, with the titles debuting at Midwest Gaming Classic 2026 this weekend before becoming available online. The new releases span the Atari 2600, Atari 7800, and Atari Jaguar, offering fresh content for both original hardware owners and players using Atari’s newer 2600+ and 7800+ consoles.

Among the Atari 2600 releases are Dasher, a fast-paced action game built around performance trials for a synthetic runner; Jutland Skies, a rescue mission set against the backdrop of World War I air combat; Ninjish Guy, Jr., a sequel focused on boss-heavy platforming challenges; and Plan B: New Earth, which continues the survival-focused sci-fi premise of its predecessor. The Atari 7800 receives StoneAge, a prehistoric survival game centered on gathering food and avoiding becoming prey.

For Atari Jaguar players, the lineup includes Magic Pockets, based on the classic platforming adventure, and Painter: Definitive Edition, which expands on the original action-puzzle release. Together, the selection reflects AtariAge’s continued support for the homebrew scene, where independent developers create new physical releases for legacy hardware long after their original commercial lifespan.
