Bubsy 4D Demo Arrives on Consoles Ahead of its Release Next Month

Publisher Atari and developer Fabraz have announced that the previously PC-exclusive demo of Bubsy 4D is now available on consoles as well. The demo release on consoles comes ahead of the title’s full launch next month, and it will allow Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation fans to try out a small chunk of the game to see how the new title is. Bubsy 4D is the first title of this classic franchise in years and marks a 3D return of Bubsy.

Bubsy 4D is the latest expressive platforming title in the long-running franchise. The latest title arrives nearly seven years after the previous game, Bubsy: Paws on Fire, which was released for PS4, Windows PC, and Nintendo Switch. The franchise has gone through multiple developers, including Black Forest Games, Choice Provisions, and now Fabraz. This will be the seventh game in the franchise, and it follows the same 3D formula that was introduced first in the third game in the franchise.

The new game brings an intergalactic, platforming adventure featuring brand-new challenges and moves. Players will run, jump, and glide across alien planets, battle robotic sheep, and collect a lot of yarn in the process. This time around, the fleece-obsessed Woolies have stolen all of the Earth’s sheep. The sheep manage to overthrow their captors and return as deadly BaaBots who are hell-bent on stealing Bubsy’s Golden Fleece. Your task in the game is to travel across different planets, defeat the BaaBots, and get your Golden Fleece back.

Bubsy 4D is slated for release on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PC via Steam, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The demo is now live across all platforms, offering players a chance to try out the game ahead of its release
