Remedy Entertainment has announced that CONTROL Resonant will be showcased at gamescom latam where the studio will share new details about the upcoming sequel during a scheduled developer session on May 1 at 1 PM PT. The presentation will be streamed online via the event’s official YouTube and Twitch channels.
Previously, Remedy revealed at GDC 2026 that the game will support NVIDIA RTX features, including Path-Traced Lighting, DLSS 4.5, Ray Construction, and Dynamic Multi-Frame Generation. These additions aim to improve lighting accuracy, image stability, and overall performance, particularly in scenes built around dense environmental detail and complex effects.
CONTROL Resonant Announces gamescom latam Participation
The CONTROL Resonant gamescom latam session will take the form of a fireside chat featuring Mikael Kasurinen, Co-Creative Director at Remedy, focusing on the game’s development, narrative direction, and design approach. The presentation is expected to provide further insight into how the sequel expands on the original Control, particularly in terms of character perspective and world-building. Following the session, Remedy will host a fan meet-and-greet at the event, with additional community activities planned for May 2.
Control Resonant continues the universe established in Control but shifts its focus beyond the Oldest House into a wider setting. The game takes place in a devastated Manhattan where paranatural forces, including the Hiss and the Mold, have spread unchecked. Players assume the role of Dylan Faden, introducing a new playable perspective tied closely to the events of the original game, while exploring environments that emphasize scale, distortion, and shifting spatial logic.
Gameplay builds on the series’ established telekinetic combat and environmental interaction, with players using evolving supernatural abilities alongside a transforming melee weapon known as the Aberrant. Encounters are designed around fast-paced combat and manipulation of space, with areas that react dynamically to player actions and abilities.
The game is being published by Remedy Entertainment, with Annapurna Pictures co-financing and co-producing the game as part of a broader partnership between the two companies. Control Resonant is scheduled to release in 2026 on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, Mac via Steam and the App Store, and GeForce NOW. It is also launching on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
