It’s pretty straightforward to get all of them. In this Pokemon Legends: Z-A Pikachu Guide, we will talk about how we can get Pichu and evolve it to Pikachu, and then evolve it to get Raichu.
Pikachu Guide – Pokemon Legends: Z-A
Adding all three Pokemon will take some time and commitment; however, you can follow the following steps for it.
Getting Pichu
You can find a Pichu while exploring the Wild Zone 1. You can find it near the western gate, which is close to a pond. You have to catch it and then add it to your team. You can evolve it into Pikachu, but it requires a bit of patience and time.
Getting Pikachu
We can get Pikachu in two different ways in the game. The first one is to catch it, and the second one is to evolve it.
Catching Pikachu:
You can get Pikachu in the Wild Zone 3. First, you have to unlock it by progressing through the main story. You’ll reach this area during the mission called “The City in the Shadow of Prism Tower,” which takes you to Emma’s Agency.
Once you are in the Wild Zone 3, head toward the southeastern section of the map. There, you might find a couple of Pikachu wandering. Catch them and add to your team. They might appear during the day or at night.
Evolving Pichu to Pikachu:
In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Pichu evolves into Pikachu once it reaches a high level of friendship or affection. Pichu can evolve if you keep it in your party and feed it Exp. Candies to help it grow, around level 20.
Simply, you just have to take good care of your Pichu. Keep it in your party, battling with it, and let it gain experience and give it some extra treats now and then. After reaching a specific level, you’ll receive a notification that it’s ready to evolve into Pikachu. That brings you one step closer to Raichu.
To evolve any Pokémon, go to the Menu, choose the Pokémon that you want to evolve, and then click ‘let it evolve’.
Getting Raichu
Evolving Pikachu to Raichu:
To evolve your Pikachu into Raichu, you’ll need a Thunder Stone. This can be purchased from the Stone Emporium, which is located in Lumiose City. This shop sells all kinds of evolution items, including the one Pikachu needs to evolve.
You can find the Stone Emporium on Vernal Avenue, which is just northwest of Wild Zone 1 and slightly west of Hotel Z. If the shop isn’t open yet (locked) or the path is blocked, you have to unlock it. It usually becomes accessible after completing main mission 5 or 6.
The Thunder Stone costs ₽3,000. To use it, open your Bag, go to the ‘Other Items’ section, select the Thunder Stone, and apply it to your Pikachu. Your Pikachu has now evolved into Raichu.
