Team17 and Super Awesome Hyper Dimensional Mega Team have announced the release date of their upcoming Metroidvania bullet hell, The Knight Witch, on November 29, 2022.

Watch the game’s trailer below:

The Knight Witch melds fast-paced shoot ‘em up combat with exploration and deck building, where players take up arms as the Knight Witch Rayne, using her powers to navigate waves of monstrous enemies, trying to save her loved ones and the place she calls home.

The game takes place in Dungeonidas, an underground city where a peaceful metropolis once existed. This city is not besieged by a mysterious enemy and their army of unrelenting war golems. As Rayne, players will wield the power of a Knight Witch and decide whether to customize and upgrade her Knight abilities to give a faster-paced shoot ‘em up experience or strengthen her Witch magic through different deck-building strategies created from over 40 unique cards.

The game also offers a series of accessibility and assist options that will help players of all abilities to save the kingdom. The abilities include ones that can turn Rayne invincible, implement an intuitive auto-aim system, as well as add a focus system so you won’t get lost in the kingdom’s labyrinthine streets and alleys, enabling customization to your playstyle.
