Team Jolly Roger have announced that their upcoming strategic deep-space artillery game Worbital is coming out later this month on PC via Steam. A console release is also planned later this year.

Worbital is actually a spiritual successor to Team Jolly Roger’s previous game Interplanetary and will allow players to cause absolute mayhem in the space with massive artillery. In Worbital, players will engage in real-time strategy combat with other players and will strive to wipe them out from the galaxy.

Players will have different planets under their command and each planet will be equipped with different type of weapons such as huge guns, lasers, shields and other extremely powerful weapons such as World Rammer. The whole star system is a battlefield and players will use their planets to wipe out other planets controlled by their opponents.

This unique idea combined with weapons of mass destruction really churn out a unique experience as players take the battle to a whole new level. The game supports both online and local multiplayer so you can fight your friends or random players worldwide to reign supreme in the galaxies. Local multiplayer is possible with a controller.

The battles will be real-time and each player will need to be very quick if they want to win over the opposition. As the battle progresses, the star system will change dramatically over the chaos and mayhem caused by players so they will be required to adapt accordingly.

The game also allows players to change their loadouts, build new weapons or upgrade existing ones to make them better. Before each round, players will be able to set their loadout according to the enemy and the star system so that they have can have an edge on the enemies.
