ININ Games and Bliss Brain have announced the release date of the Wonder Boy Collection for both PS4 and Nintendo Switch. Wonder Boy Collection will release on both consoles on June 3, 2022; however, the Wonder Boy Anniversary Collection will release at a later date. The Collection includes four classic Wonder Boy titles from the 90s ported for modern consoles and PC with plenty of new features.
The Collection includes:
- Wonder Boy (1986)
- Wonder Boy in Monster Land (1987)
- Wonder Boy in Monster World (1991)
- Monster World IV (1994)
All four games will ship with modern features such as filters, shaders, rewind and a fast-forward option along with a save anytime feature. For physical buyers of the collection in the USA, they can get their copies from Amazon however for players outside the USA, they can check out the official website of ININ Games or Bliss Brain for pre-orders and the latest updates about the shipments.
For hardcore fans of the franchise, Strictly Limited Games is offering a special 35th birthday Anniversary Collection which will include six games and 21 versions of Wonder Boy in total. Pre-orders for this particular edition will only be available on the official website of Strictly Limited Games. A release date for this has not been announced at this point however it is slated for release sometime later this year.
Wonder Boy Anniversary Collection will include 21 versions in a single collection as revealed earlier. Wonder Boy Collection was originally announced back in February 2022 and now we finally have the release date of the title. Previously, Strictly Limited Games also announced Wonder Boy Returns Remix physical editions. Last year, we got to see the release of Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World on PC and consoles.
