Treyarch Teases Map Changes in Update of Black Ops 4: Blackout

Blackout Map Changes

The developers of Call of Duty Black Ops 4: Blackout have teased map changes in a new update coming out for the game. Treyarch tweeted a little glimpse of what is expected to come out for this popular battle royale shooter game mode.

The update is set to come out on 19 February for the PlayStation 4 and 26 February for the Xbox One and PC. Meanwhile there is the Valentine’s Quad Feed weekend starting on 14 February that will allow players to earn double XP and weapon XP in the multiplayer mode, double XP and Nebulium Plasma in Zombies and twice many merits in Blackout battle royale mode.

The tweet shows the map of the whole area in which Blackout is based, with a X marked on the image. This blueprint of the area seemingly hints of a new location that might be coming at the marked X. In addition, there are also many other areas and hot spots coming in the game, though it is unclear what they all mean and how Treyarch will implement new things in the region.

The teaser adds to the rumor circling around since a few weeks about a new location dropping in the game soon, while the design director of Treyarch David Vonderhaar previously confirmed that a major addition to Blackout would be to introduce a new location. Now it seems that the company has been working on this new location all this time.

Now that there is some sort of a new location coming in the map, a few other points of interest would also spice things up, and bring in a lot of interest among the fans. But we have to wait a few more days for the update to actually roll out, while Treyarch will be pouring out more details prior to its release.
