THQ Nordic will be celebrating its 10th Anniversary with a Showcase Event that will be revealing 6 new games. The digital event is set to begin on September 17 at 12:00PM PST and will be streamed on YouTube, Twitch, and Steam.
The showcase will be hosted by Geoff Keighley, who is best known for being the producer and the host of The Game Awards. The six new game announcements are said to take us on a journey through time and space.
While the studio does not elaborate more on the new games, it says that there will be a return of legendary franchises, including some of which faans have been waiting for decades to get their hands on a new instalment. This hints that we can expect to see sequels to some beloved games.
A positive statement by the studio regarding the Showcase Event is that it can be co-streamed by content creators from all over the world. Streamers on Twitch and YouTube will be especially pleased to hear that THQ Nordic has cooperated with YouTube and Twitch to make sure that all licensed music can be part of the stream.
THQ Nordic has been known for acquiring many studios over the recent years and is now comprised of 19 studios in total. Earlier this year, THQ Nordic incorporated a new studio called Alkimia Interactive which was revealed to be developing a Gothic Remake.
The studio owns games like the Darksiders series, Warhammer, Spongebob, Destroy All Humans, Wreckfest and many more.
