Frogwares has announced a plethora of new information about its upcoming title, The Sinking City 2, including its price, different editions, and PC specs. The Sinking City 2 is the next title in Frogwares’ Lovecraftian horror game series, and interested players can now pre-order it across all platforms to prepare for its launch next month. To celebrate the announcements, the developer has also released the latest trailer for the game, which shows even more gameplay.
Fans will be pleased to know that despite most video games going far and beyond the $60 price point, The Sinking City 2 will launch at just $50 for its base version. Pre-orders are now live across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store.
Commenting on the pre-orders and the game’s price point, Sergiy Oganesyan, Publishing Director at Frogwares, said that the launch of pre-orders is a major milestone for the studio, calling it “quite a surreal milestone” as it signals that The Sinking City 2 is “basically at the finish line” after a demanding development cycle. The developer described the sequel as its “most ambitious game” yet, created by a team working remotely across Ukraine and beyond under circumstances “most studios never have to plan for.”
Even with roughly two months remaining until launch, Frogwares revealed it migrated the entire project to Unreal Engine 5.8, believing the resulting performance improvements would be “worth the effort for our players.” The studio also explained its decision to price the game at $49.99 instead of the increasingly common $60 launch price for survival horror titles, saying it wanted “to be fair” and allow as many players as possible to experience the game.
The Sinking City 2 will be available in three different editions at launch. These include:
- Standard Edition– Base game, Chthonic Arsenal pack – $49.99
- Deluxe Edition– Base game, Chthonic Arsenal pack, and The Arkham Field Kit – $54.99
- Premium Edition– Base game, Chthonic Arsenal pack, The Arkham Field Kit, Holloway Manor, and 24-hour advanced access – $59.99
All players who pre-order the game will receive the Chthonic Arsenal pack for all three editions, along with a 24-hour Advanced Access for Premium Edition owners.
The details of all packs are:
- The Chthonic Arsenal – Mythical weapons to give you options when the abyss fights back. Face Arkham in style. Wield the Chthonic Arsenal: the “Shale Mary” handgun, the “Breakwater” shotgun, and the “Tektite Tommy” SMG, each with its own look and features.
- The Arkham Field Kit – Face Arkham prepared. The Arkham Field Kit adds three outfits for the main character: “The Anatomist,” “The Witness,” and “Heretic Heraldry.” It also includes three Dream Essence to learn your first Talent early and a Resource Pack with a helpful mix of ammo, healing, and crafting items to aid your first steps in the city.
- The Holloway Manor – On the cliffs outside the city of Arkham, the Holloway Manor keeps its lights low. The house belongs to an old family whose history curdled into occult practice–the kind that Lovecraft would trace through buried lineages and rites that never quite ended. Rooms interlock like a puzzle box, dusty heirlooms open doors, and the house rewards your curiosity with paths you were not meant to find. See the job through, and the “Bucking Bronco” revolver you claim stays with you in the main game.

The Sinking City 2 is releasing on PC via Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store, along with PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on August 18, 2026. Pre-orders are now live for all three editions across all platforms with exclusive bonuses.
