The Fisherman: Fishing Planet Complete Edition Releasing Next Month

Bigben and Fishing Planet LLC have announced that their free-to-play The Fisherman – Fishing Planet is releasing next month in a premium complete edition. This is the first time that the game is moving away from its traditional free-to-play formula and is going premium. The premium version will arrive without any sort of microtransactions which is a great thing.

In The Fisherman: Fishing Planet, players will get the opportunity to gather 143 different species of fish with realistic behavior. The game features 19 fishing areas around the world where players will be able to use 4 different fishing techniques to catch these fish. The game also features dynamic weather along with thousands of unique tackle combinations.

The Complete Edition will ship with all-new, never before seen content for fans of the franchise. The exclusive content includes a new fishing spot in La Creuse, France, the trolling technique, four unique fish species and a new motorboat for players to go fishing in. Along with this, the game will also feature all the available content in the free version.

Content coming from the current version includes all 4 years’ worth of expansions along with 139 species of fish. The game received more than 35 DLC which added tons of new options to the game including tackles, locations, and fish types. The base game features 18 unique locations from around the world along with a decent selection of motorboats and over 1000 tackles. All of this content is also included in the upcoming Complete Edition.

The developer Fishing Planet LLC was founded back in 2012 and since then it has been working on one of the most realistic first-person fishing simulator titles we have ever seen. After 4 years of staying as a free-to-play title funded with microtransactions, the game is now releasing in a premium package including all content of the game along with some bonus content.
