BAFTA-award-winning studio State of Play has announced the release date of its cinematic love story title South of the Circle. South of the Circle will release on PC via Steam and GOG, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on August 3, 2022. 11 bit studios will be publishing the title. South of the Circle follows the story of protagonist Peter who is led into the frozen nooks of Antarctica. There, he must come face to face with the crossroads of the past and the present clashing inside his mind. He must fight for his survival while contemplating his entire life and the choices he made along the way. South of the Circle features a cinematic story that is set in the Cold War era of the 1960s.
This story is brought to life thanks to a star-studded voice-acting cast that includes Anton Lesser (“Game of Thrones”, “Star Wars: Andor”), Gwilym Lee (“Bohemian Rhapsody”), Olivia Vinall (“The Woman in White”), Richard Goulding (“The Crown”), Adrian Rawlins (“Chernobyl”), and Michael Fox (“Downton Abbey”). The brilliant cast combined with visually pleasing aesthetics to deliver an emotional narrative experience with a deep multi-layered cinematic story.

You can add South of the Circle to your Steam wishlist or GOG wishlist right now if you are planning on playing the game on PC. The game page is now live across all platforms however pre-orders are not open so you cannot add the game to your account at this point. With the release right around the corner, there is not much time before you can jump into the game. The title was announced back in April 2022.
