Bandai Namco has just announced the addition of two new DLC characters in SoulCalibur IV. The announcement was made during the Evo 2019 event. The first character to be confirmed was Cassandra, while SNK Samurai Shodown’s Haohmaru will also be added for an intense weapon-based battle.
Cassandra will be available today, August 5 as a DLC character with the game’s season pass. While this is not her first appearance in the SoulCalibur franchise, as she has also featured in SoulCalibur II, her return comes as a welcome surprise among fans. As you can expect, she comes with blistering speed and a deadly fighting style. Top that with her sword and shield fighting mechanic and the opponents stand no chance.
The other character that was revealed is Haohmaru from the SNK’s Samurai Shodown series. Haohmaru reveal also came with the announcement of the second season pass of the game, which will also see the addition of four more DLC characters including Haohmaru.
The details of the second season pass are little, but Bandai Namco does say that it comes with four sets of character customizations items other than the four DLC characters. If you are interested in buying the season pass and to avail all the DLC characters, you can do so by purchasing the season pass for $29.99. If you just want to purchase a single DLC character of your choice, you can do so by purchasing a DLC character for $5.99. The season 2 pass is not available right now, but we expect a release date soon.
SoulCalibur IV is the latest entry in the series by Bandai Namco. The game features premier weapons in a head to head fighting series that continues the epic struggle of warriors in search for the legendary Soul Swords. The events of the game take place in the 16th century, where you can revisit the events of the original SoulCalibur to uncover hidden secrets.
