Sonic the Hedgehog Movie

The first trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog movie has been released and it shows us our first official glimpse of both Sonic and Robotnik. The trailer also shows how our favorite childhood character looks like in CGI along with the villain who is being played by Jim Carrey and it appears that he is doing a fantastic job at it.

The new action-packed trailer shows Sonic (Ben Schwartz), Robotnik (Jim Carrey) along with Tom Wachowski (James Marsden) who is a sheriff and works alongside Sonic and helps him in taking down Dr. Robotnik who wants to take over the world.  Along with these main characters in the movie, Adam Pally, Neal McDonough, and Tika Sumpter will also be part of the cast of the movie.

Sonic the Hedgehog was announced last year as a new CGI movie based on Sega’s character. The movie is an America-Japanese joint venture and the studious behind the movie include Original Film, Sega, Blur Studios, Marza Animation Planer and Paramount Animation. Jeff Fowler is the director of the movie and the story is written by Patrick Casey, Josh Miller, and Oren Uziel.

Check out the trailer below.

The trailer gives us a small overview of the movie. The movie is set in San Francisco and Dr. Robotnik wants to capture and find out the secret behind Sonic’s powers. Sonic is partnered with the local sheriff and Robotnik has its own army of goons along with some of his wacky gadgets and inventions in the mix as well some of which we can see in the trailer as well.

The trailer and the cast look fine to us but the music choice playing in the background could have been a little better. At this point, no other details about the movie are known. The movie is slated to release in the United States later this year so we can expect more details arriving soon about the movie.

Sonic the Hedgehog will release across cinemas in the US on November 15, 2019.
