Solar Ash Kingdom is a New Game by the Developers of Hyper Light Drifter

Solar Ash Kingdom

Heart Machine, developer behind Hyper Light Drifter, has revealed their new game Solar Ash Kingdom. The developers revealed their game with IGN and the creator also gave a little description about their upcoming title.

From the trailer, Solar Ash Kingdom looks like a speed-skating game which is set in a very vibrant and colorful dimension. The character shown in the trailer appears to be skating down the area and then going face first into a giant monster of some sort. Not a lot of detail has been announced at this point however you can check out the creator Alx Preston’s words to IGN below.

We strive to tell a beautiful story through our world, the atmosphere, our characters and even our gameplay—each aspect of our games are painstakingly considered—which requires a large investment of time. Thanks for bearing with us and our relative silence; we’re so excited to start opening up about the game and the process behind it on our devlog and beyond.

It’s been difficult to hold our tongues on such an exciting creation after this long, but it’s been worth it to make sure we put out our best for our audience to see just how far we’ve come from our days of pixel art.

Check out the game’s reveal trailer below.

You can see that the game environments and design looks amazing. The character design is also unique however it does give us the Hyper Light Drifter vibes in it. By looking at the character, we can tell that the developer behind the title is Heart Machine who gave us Hyper Light Drifter. Apart from Heart Machine, Annapurna Interactive will be the publisher of the game.

Annapurna Interactive has published a lot of cool indie games in the past such as Gorogoa, Donut County and What Remains of Edith Finch. We are certain that Solar Ash Kingdom is in safe hands. No further details about the game has been release at this point. The title appears to be made for Epic Games Store as we only see its sign at the end of the trailer.
