Sega Asking Fans to Vote for Games on the Mega Drive Mini

Sega Mega Drive Mini

Sega Japan has taken to Twitter to ask fans what games they would like to see on the Mega Drive Mini. In total, there were three polls that have been posted on the official account, asking players to choose between the games.

The poll is asking fans if they want to see the classic game and its sequel for inclusion on the device. The games in question are Sonic and Sonic 2, Shining Force and Shining Force 2, and Puyo Puyo and Puyo Puyo Tsu.

The question that arises is that why is Sega Japan choosing one or the other, and why cant the device have all the games included on the device in the first place. It will be bizarre if not all the Sonic games is included in the device. However, this may not be the final confirmation of the games to come on the device, even after the poll.

The polls were also posted by Sega’s Japanese branch of the company which means that the results will likely have an impact for the Japanese markets, but it also seems unlikely that the Western markets will receive an edition of their own. Having said that, the polls are accessible for anyone, and you can go vote on your favorite game that you want to see on the Mega Drive Mini

If you are not familiar with the Mega Drive Mini, it is a miniature version of its classic console that will allow players to play all the classic games that have come on the previous Sega consoles over the years.

The Mega Drive Mini is expected for a worldwide release this year in 2019. It was previously delayed to give players a better overall experience and hit a global release date for the hardware.

Do you think Sega should include all the games instead of having to choose some? Let us know in the comments below.
