Rumors have suggested that Nintendo is bringing back Scalebound as a Nintendo Switch exclusive. The title was originally an Xbox One exclusive under development by Platinum Games but the title was later cancelled by Microsoft.
This was back in 2017 and now after two years, we are getting rumors that Scalebound is coming back but as a Nintendo Switch exclusive this time around. Further details are not known at this point about what sort of direction the game will have for Nintendo Switch.
Scalebound was originally under development by PlatinumGames and it was coming out for Xbox One and Microsoft Windows exclusively. The title was under development since 2013 but it was later axed in 2017 by Microsoft for unknown reasons.
Scalebound was meant to feature giant dragons who partnered with humans and the players played as Drew whose dragon’s name was Thuban. Dragons assisted humans is taking down massive enemies. Players apart from dragons helping them out, also had a wide variety of different weapons at their disposal as well.
The game was played in third-person and was set in the world of Draconis. Players could give additional commands to dragons as well such as attacking enemies and more. It was a role-playing action title and it looked extremely promising until its last stages when it was finally cancelled by Microsoft.

From the gameplay video above, we can see that the title was shaping up to be quite good and we were highly disappointed when Microsoft cancelled the title. Xbox One is much more powerful than Nintendo Switch so it will certainly have an impact on the Switch version’s capabilities.
