Red Dead Online Gun Rush mode is rumored to become available in the next update. Rockstar has not mentioned any details about the possible new in-game mode, however, a player claims to have spotted the new game mode.
Reddit user donajello1 has said that while he was looking for a quick showdown match, he spotted two new game modes for a split second. Two of the game modes then disappeared.

More and more speculations grew after donajello1 spotted a possible Red Dead Online Gun Rush mode. Players are comparing the Gun Rush mode with GTA Online’s Kill Quota. The game mode allows players to spawn and start with high powered weapons which are toned down to lesser power weapons after each round.
Rockstar so far has not detailed any information officially on Red Dead Online Gun Rush mode. We do know Rockstar is planning to release updates in couple of weeks and bring changes to Red Dead Online mission rewards and gold economy. Maybe the Gun Rush mode get a release after Rockstar is done with fixing in-game economy system.
Rockstar has also announced recently that all the player progression in Red Dead Online Beta, which was earlier rumored to be wiped after the end of program will now be continued ahead of the beta of program. Rockstar will not delete you player progression in Red Dead Online as this is confirmed officially now.
Rockstar released an update almost a week ago and it fixed a lot of bugs in Red Dead Redemption 2. The update was focused on story mission bugs. For one, more than 30 story, robbery and loansharking missions were fixed in the update.
