Raiden Fighters Remix Collection Update 1.2 Adds Quick Restart, Auto-Save Controls, and More

Raiden Fighters Remix Collection Update

Raiden Fighters Remix Collection has received Update 1.2 on Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5. The latest update brings a batch of quality-of-life improvements, new display options, and bug fixes across all platforms, plus an extra controller compatibility option for PS5 players.

One of the more nostalgic additions is a reworked startup flow that brings back the classic Attract Demo sequence, recreating the kind of presentation players would have seen booting up the games in arcades. A new Smoothing option has also been added to the Display Options menu, giving players more control over how the game looks on screen.

On the convenience side, key configuration settings now save automatically rather than needing to be set each session, and a new Quick Restart function lets players jump straight back into action by holding L2 and R2 (or ZL and ZR) for a second while playing in Custom mode.

The update also fixes two notable bugs. One issue caused the deletion of local ranking data on the international version to mistakenly wipe ranking data from the Japanese version as well, while another caused restarting a session to incorrectly launch the next one in 2-player mode. Both have now been resolved.

PlayStation 5 players get one additional perk with this update: support for compatible PlayStation 4 arcade controllers, giving fans of the genre more hardware options for a more authentic playing experience.

Raiden Fighters Remix Collection brings together a set of classic vertical shoot-’em-ups that helped define the genre. Each game is rebuilt for modern platforms while keeping the fast-paced action and enemy patterns that made the original memorable. It is currently available on Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5.
