Twitch Prime is now Prime Gaming, Amazon Rebrands Service

Amazon Prime Free Games

Amazon has just rebranded its Twitch Prime service as it has been changed to Prime Gaming. The premium Twitch service package comes with all the same benefits as it offered before, with the only difference that the name of Twitch has been removed.

This can be confirmed as you go to the Twitch Amazon website which has been taken over by Prime Gaming. If you are wondering if there could be anything new in the service, there sadly isn’t. The pages are pretty identical as before, displaying all the same perks you get from the service.

Prime Gaming will offer the same in-game content that previously offered. This includes games such as Red Dead Online, Apex Legends, FIFA 20, League of Legends, Grand Theft Auto 5, and many more major titles in the gaming industry. The service also gives you a collection of free PC games every month, just like how PlayStation and Xbox online service hands out free games every month.

A short statement by Larry Plotnick, GM of Prime Gaming, was also released announcing the rebranded service.

Prime members already get the best of TV, movies, and music, and now we’re expanding our entertainment offerings to include the best of gaming. We’re giving customers new content that makes playing their favorite games on every platform even better. So no matter what kind of games you love, and no matter where you play them, they’ll be even better with Prime Gaming.

August saw the addition of 20 classic games from the SNK 40th Anniversary collection, along with Metal Slug 2 and Treachery in Beatdown City. If you are interested in the service, you can try out a free one-month trial, or go for a $13/month package, or a $120/year package.
