Power Rangers: Battle for The Grid Releasing in April

A new Power Rangers fighting game has been announced to be releasing this April. An announcement teaser released by nWay, who is the developer of the game, showed off the action in the upcoming fighting game.

Previous games released by nWay were developed and published Power Rangers Legacy Wars on mobile. But now the developer is launching the new game across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and eventually PC.

In the trailer you get to see three rangers who appear to be playable fighters. Characters like Red Ranger Jason Lee Scott, Green Ranger Tommy Oliver and Yellow Ranger Gia Morgan from Power Rangers Megaforce.

nWay has teamed up with Lionsgate and Hasbro to bring Battle for The Grid in action. In an official announcement the fighting game was described to be easy to learn but hard to master, as the game pits 25 years of the Power Rangers history along with new and classic Rangers and villains against each other in team battles.

Power Rangers fans have been asking for a high fidelity fighting game on console and PC that match up iconic Rangers and villains across the expansive Power Rangers multiverse for quite some time now. We wanted to deliver this to the fans and make sure it has cross-play and cross-progression capabilities as we believe playing with friends across multiple platforms at the same time is where the future of gaming is headed.

The standard version of the game will be available for $20, while a special digital collector’s edition will can be pre-order for $40. Those who pre-ordet the game will receive an exclusive Green Ranger V2 character Sking and digital art book. The special collector’s edition will contains:

  • Full Game
  • Season One Pass (Includes three new characters, there Arcade Story and new warrior skin.)
  • Exclusive Lord Drakkon Evo II Skin
  • Exclusive Morphin Power Rangers Pink Ranger Skin
