To celebrate Days of Play, Sony has unveiled a new limited edition steel grey PlayStation 4 Slim during its State of Play livestream event held yesterday. The livestream featured a 30-second trailer of the console in steel grey color and is expected to launch sometime in June.
The console will be a slim version of the PlayStation 4 with 1 TB hard drive, with a matching controller to go with the console. the steel grey console looks fantastic with the iconic PlayStation button icons right at the top of the console. Take a look at the trailer of the console below:
A release date has not been confirmed by Sony, nor have there been more details coming out about the console. However, it is expected to come out sometime in June, just like previous Days of Play PlayStation 4 did last year. If we talk about the similarity in price, it should retail at $299 just like its predecessor.
Yesterday’s State of Play livestream featured a lot of news, that includes the details of Monster Hunter: World’s next massive expansion; Iceborn. A release date was confirmed for the expansion and is set to launch on September 6, 2019.
In addition, a handful of other games were also announced, that contained the Predator: Hunting Grounds, MediEvil, Away: The Survival Series and Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
Predator: Hunting Grounds may not be a proper Alien game, but it certainly is a surprise announcement that brings this multiplayer shooter from the studio of IllFonic Games. The game is set to come out next year in 2020, and not many details were provided.
The biggest announcement of all was the remake of Final Fantasy VII, which is coming to the PlayStation 4. A short trailer was released by Square Enix on the State of Play livestream that teases more information to be shared in June.
