Neo-Aztec Shooter Pawarumi Releasing on Xbox One and Switch in July

Pawarumi

Manufacture 43 has announced that their Neo-Aztec shooter Pawarumi is releasing on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch next month. Pawarumi will feature fast-paced and challenging original game mechanics that convey a strategic experience which is pretty unique in the genre.

Pawarumi is an electric, neuron reactive, 3D shoot ’em up set in a futuristic yet pre-Columbian inspired universe. The game features a game mechanic which is inspired by rock-paper-scissors which allows players to maximize damage, heal their shield or charge a super attack just by shooting with an optimal weapon on the right enemy type.

This shows that the game will require a little bit of strategy if they want to easily eliminate all enemies while surviving at the same time. They will need to watch out for the enemy type and use the right type of weapons against them which will allow them to get either an offensive boost by charging their super attack or a defensive boost by healing their shields.

Check out the release trailer below.

The official features of Pawarumi are detailed as:

  • Unique Trinity Mechanic
  • Five levels, each with their own very unique settings
  • Three difficulty levels each with their own storytelling
  • Gorgeous 3D environments
  • Epic staging with awesome camera work
  • Peruvian Electro Metal Soundtrack
  • Support for keyboard, gamepads and arcade sticks

In Pawarumi, players play as Axo who pilots a ship called Chukaru which is the most powerful vessel in the world. It has slots for three weapons and these weapons are provided by none other than gods themselves. Players will be able to switch between the three weapons on the go. The three weapons can be combined together for a super attack as well which is really devastating.

Pawarumi is now out on PC via Steam however, it is slated for a July 24, 2019 release date for Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
