Bandai Namco has just revealed a new game coming from the One Piece anime series. The game is called One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4, and it will be releasing for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Bandai Namco’s announcement was made during the Anime Expo 2019 at its Play Anime panel. An announcement trailer was also shown for the game, which shows Gear Fourth Luffy and Big Mom. Take a look at it below:
A release date for the game has not been confirmed, but it is expected to release next year in 2020. The game is being developed by Omega Force, and the last game in the series came out 4 to 5 years ago. Bandai Namco goes on to say the following about the game,
One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is a great way for both new and long time-fans to jump into the One Piece world.
Bandai goes on the explain the multiple stories and arcs that the game will feature from the anime. They also add that the game would be great for new and old players alike, especially for the fans of the anime series. It would be interesting how Bandai Namco plans to make things interesting for new players in the series, and how it will bring in the current events of the anime into the game.
One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 will be different from the recently released One Piece: World Seeker. The press release also states that it will contain all the latest stories of all the latest characters and in the most recent setting of the anime series. It will also include the Whole Cake island, which may sound exciting if you are a fan of the series.
