Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection

KOEI TECMO has announced the Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection for PC and consoles with a release slated for June 2021. Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection was announced during last night’s Nintendo Direct and will be released for Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One. It will be playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S via backward compatibility as well. Check out the reveal trailer for Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection below:

Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection features three titles from the franchise including:

  • Ninja Gaiden Sigma
  • Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
  • Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge

Apart from the base games, the collection will also include all previously released game modes and DLC costumes for all three games. The game follows the story of the super ninja Ryu Hayabusa as he battles enemies and fiends causing chaos around the world. The game also features additional characters such as Kasumi, Ayane, Momji, and Rachel. The games will follow the exact same storylines and content from the original release.

Yosuke Hayashi, Chief Head of Team Ninja said:

Ninja Gaiden is one of the most important and monumental titles for the Team Ninja brand, but we haven’t been able to release the series title on current generation platforms, so I am very delighted to be able to release it in this format as a trilogy. If you enjoy challenging action games, we hope you will give it a try.

Fumihiko Yasuda, head of Team Ninja also said:

Ninja Gaiden is the origin of Team Ninja’s action games, and I hope that not only fans of the series, but also fans of the Nioh series will play these games.

I hope that the day will come soon when I can provide information about the next game in the series, which I’ve been continuously saying that I want to develop, but until then, please play as Ryu Hayabusa in the Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection.

The collection will release on June 10, 2021, across all announced platforms simultaneously. Let us know in the comments section below whether you would be getting it when it comes out or not.
