Activision has announced that the next title in the Call of Duty franchise will be announced at the end of next month. The next title might be Modern Warfare 4 because some of the recent leaks and speculations lead to the release of Modern Warfare 4 next in the franchise. This means that the game will not be revealed at E3, rather it is planned for a reveal after E3.
If you consider last year’s Black Ops 4, it was revealed right before E3 2018 and the developer did not wait for the event to reveal their next game. We earlier reported about a video which showed some NFL players who have actually played the next Call of Duty title last month behind closed doors.
This was very strange that Activision chose NFL players to try out their upcoming Call of Duty title. The short video looked like a Snapchat video and it showed Florida State University’s Jacques Patrick and University of Georgia’s Ridley Ridley playing the game. This is still just a speculation based on the words “killstreaks” and “Modern Warfare 4” said during the video.
It only makes sense that the next title in the franchise to be Modern Warfare 4. The last title in the franchise was released back in 2011 which was 8 years ago and it is due for the next title. We’ve had numerous Call of Duty titles since then but the franchise missing a sequel remains to be Modern Warfare.
If everything is going according to Activision’s normal schedule, we can expect the next Call of Duty title to arrive in November or December this year. No official information is known about the game at this point. Activision has only said that the game announcement will be held at the end of June.
