Epic Games has released a new update v7.10 for Fortnite and it adds tons of new content to the game along with some bug fixes and other changes. The most important additions to Fortnite in this new patch is the 14 Days of Fortnite event and special Winter Themed Islands for the Creative mode.
Apart from this, a brand new survival mode is coming to Save the World called Frostnite which is based around winter as well. Apart from these major additions, the update brings with it a number of different updates and changes to the overall game such as balances, nerfs and buffs.
The first major addition in this update is the 14 Days of Fortnite event. This event will run for 14 days and will feature different types of Limited Time Modes. Some of the game modes will return from earlier seasons while some will be new events that have never been seen in the game. These modes will change after a set amount of time.
Smaller modes will change after 24 hours while bigger modes will last for 2 days. The first event will start on December 19 so you have plenty of time to practice before the event goes live. Coming to the Creative mode, which was just recently introduced to the game, it is getting new islands which are specially themed around Winter.
These Winter Islands are now available to everyone who jumps in the Creative mode right now. There are four new islands for players to build on. Apart from adding new islands, Epic Games has introduced a lot of changes to already implemented Creative mode mechanics.
Even Save the World is getting some festive treatment with a brand new mode Frostnite. This is a unique mode in which you will need to keep the burner alive by feeding it BluGlo. Kill enemies spawning around you to collect BluGlo and keep the burner alive or you will not survive in the mode.
