Fans of Titanfall series were expecting the third game Titanfall 3, but it was not the case as with the release of Apex Legends, the developer confirmed that Titanfall 3 was cancelled for Apex Legends.

This came as disappointing news for fans waiting for the third title of the series. However, though it seems that the game is cancelled for now, it is not totally abandoned as a new Titanfall related is in the works to be launched this year.

The news came from none other than the CEO of Respawn Vince Zampella via Twitter. he added that the developers are working on more Titanfall related work this year, and to experiment with the Titanfall universe. This is something that Apex Legends is also featuring in its battle royale game that was met with a lot of positives.

Though Apex Legends is an experiment in the Titanfall universe, players have expressed some disappointment in not having the same features as Titanfall had in the gameplay. The features that are being talked about are the wall running abilities and mechs. Respawn has responded to the features and simply explained that it did not work in the battle royale format.

For now, Respawn is focusing on Apex Legends with a strong plan to engage fans for a long time. As the service will evolve, more playable characters will be added, and a battle pass will also be introduced to players.
