New Tchia Trailer Showcases the World of New Caledonia

Awaceb released a brand-new trailer at The Game Awards 2021 for their beautiful title Tchia which shows us more of the in-game world of New Caledonia. Apart from revealing more of the world, the trailer also showcases more of the core mechanics that you will be able to play when the game comes out. As you can see from the trailer above, the new gameplay trailer showcases the seas of Tchia as you explore and sail through them. The game’s archipelago is inspired by New Caledonia, and you will get to find hidden treasures while climbing risky accents and doing acrobatic jumps to move around the island. The new trailer also highlights a major gameplay mechanic for the first time which shows Tchia taking control of almost anything found on the island.

This includes all animals and objects that you can find on the islands. As Tchia, you can soul-jump into animals and also take to sea, land, and sky as you embark on your journey. Exploration plays a vital role in the game and while you soul-jump into various animals or sea creatures, you will get new perspectives about the world around you as well.

Apart from humans and animals, you will also come across various enemies that you can take out with combos by launching yourself into items such as coconuts and lanterns. When you just want to wind down, you can do so by playing various tunes on your Ukulele. The official press list details Tchia a single-player, story-driven experience that is inspired by classic and contemporary open-world adventures.

At this moment, Tchia does not have a confirmed release date however it is slated for a Spring 2022 release on PC, PS4, and PS5. Additional details about the title will be revealed in the coming months. The game was announced earlier in March 2021.
