Square Enix has revealed a new trailer for World of Final Fantasy Maxima at Tokyo Game Show. The game is an updated version of the 2016 spin-off RPG and is set to release for Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4 and Xbox One on November 6, 2018.
The new trailer contains new Final Fantasy heroes such as Noctis and Serah, as well as a new Avatar Change system this new setup will allow players to take the form of their favorite characters during battle.
Return to the beautiful land of Grymoire in World of Final Fantasy Maxima, making the game bigger and better than ever!
If you want a crash course on what Final Fantasy is all about, as well as the chance to meet many of the heroes from different Final Fantasy games in one place, then World of Final Fantasy Maxima is for you. World of Final Fantasy Maxima is a powered up version of World of final Finatasy which was origninaly released in October 2016.
Embark on a magical journey with siblings Reynn and Lann as they explore the vast land of Grymoire to rediscover their past and save the future.
With charming and stylized visuals, you can capture, customize and evolve iconic creatures by stacking them to form adorable yet strategic monster towers. Meanwhile characters from Final Fantasy lore (champions) and monsters (Mirages) add even more fun and excitement to this unique adventure in World of Final Fantasy Maxima.

WORLD OF FINAL FANTASY MAXIMA is coming to Switch and Xbox One for the first time! The MAXIMA DLC upgrade is available for purchase on PSN and Steam for use with the base game of WORLD OF FINAL FANTASY.
The game’s website that is in Japanese has revealed a few more details about the game. Firstly it shows that players, who already own a copy of Final Fantasy on Playstation 4 or Steam, are eligible to upgrade to Maxima with a separate DLC. It also shows that players can participate in a new fishing mini-game featuring Noctis.
Additional Features in World of Final Fantasy Maxima include:
- The Avatar Change system lets you fight as legendary FINAL FANTASY heroes in your stacks
- New FINAL FANTASY Champions and Mirages added
- Fishing with Noctis from FINAL FANTASY XV – Additional dungeon challenges
There are also many Classic Final Fantasy games coming to the Nintendo Switch as previously announced at Nintendo Direct.
