SNK to Launch Samurai Shodown Themed Neo Geo Mini in Japan

SNK has announced that it will be launching a Samurai Shodown themed Neo Geo Mini in Japan soon. The console is being launched to commemorate the launch of the latest entry in the Samurai Shodown series and will be available in three different color schemes.

Players can choose the different colored consoles with having the choice between a Nakoruru console, a blue Ukyo Tachibana, or a white Haohmaru console. Each console will be released for 15,000 Yen, and is only available for players in Japan. Pre-orders for the console will open from May 16, and SNK has only planned to make 20,000 of each version of this console.

All the three different colored consoles will come with all the six Samurai Shodown games, starting from the original game released in 1993, to 2005’s Samurai Shodown 5 Special. In total, the console will have 40 pre-installed classic Neo Geo games, including a number of other fighter games as well.

The 40 games that come pre installed are mostly Samurai Shodown games. However, if you want to get this alongside the new game, a bundle will be available from SNK’s online shop for each color. The list of games that come in the console are below:
