Mortal Kombat 11 DLC to Bring Shang Tsung, Spawn, Nightwolf and More

Mortal Kombat 11 Shang Tsung

The first DLC content for Mortal Kombat 11 will bring in many new fighters in the game that include Shang Tsung, Nightwolf, Sindel, and Spawn. The announcement was made via a gameplay trailer released for the Kombat Pack DLC.

The trailer also adds that two more additional guest characters will be coming in the pack, hinting Ash from the Evil Dead series and from the Terminator series. These guest characters will join the roster of the fighter in Mortal Kombat 11.

Take a look at the gameplay trailer below:

A glimpse of Shang Tsung in the trailer is not a surprise as he was already announced to be coming as a DLC character back in March. Shang Tsung is an evil sorcerer that is portrayed by Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa in the game, having voiced the same character in the 1995 Mortal Kombat movie.

Just like Tagawa, Keith David will also come in the game as the same voice actor of Spawn from the HBO animated series.

The trailer also shows quite the extensive gameplay of Shang Tsung with his moves and abilities. With his sorcery, he can be seen to transform into other characters of the game and producing fireballs from the ground. Another interesting move he can execute is by burying his opponent halfway in the ground full of lava, and them stomping them in deeper into it. Since he can manipulate into taking the appearance and moves of other characters, he is also seen taking the soul of a knocked enemy and taking their appearance and moves to use it against them.

Finally, his fatality is also quite amusing and Goro-y. He can be seen producing a green ball from his magic and then throwing it into the chest of the opponent. This ball of magic inside the chest then produces Goro, as he tears to emerge from the inside of the opponent’s chest. It’s pretty gruesome.

Shang Tsung will be available on June 18, first for Kombat Pack owners. While we do not get a look at the other characters that are inclusive of this DLC, we might get more trailers details before the release of the pack.
