New Trailer of Mortal Kombat 11 Shows Off Cassie Cage in Combat

Mortal Kombat 11 Cassie Cage

An official character reveal of Cassie Cage in Mortal Kombat 11 was just released showing Cassie in action. Cassie Cage was first introduced by NetherRealm in 2015’s Mortal Kombat X and quickly became a fan favorite.

Sergeant Cassandra Carlton “Cassie” Cage is the daughter of Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade. Two characters who are also making a comeback in the upcoming Mortal Kombat title this April.

Take a look at the released gameplay video below:

Cassie is one of the newer waves of characters in the Mortal Kombat series. While she has her own fighting style, its her character design and personality that makes her special. One of her fatality move in Mortal Kombat X was smashing her opponent’s jaw and taking a selfie with them, and uploading it online.

In the new trailer, it seems that the developers have doubled down on her sass. The commander of her own Elite Special Forces Unit has a drone accompanying her, mixing moves that are clearly based on both of her parents. Like Sonya, her mother, she has perfect aim when she uses firearms. While she also takes the superhuman abilities from her father, Johnny Cage that give her strength and speed.

The highlight of her combat is one of her fatalities that she takes from Johnny Cage called the Nutcracker. She performs this on the family’s archnemesis Kano, where he shoots him with her high powered pistols and then kicks him in the crotch, causing his skull and spine to burst out from the top of his head.

One thing is for sure, the game would not be Mortal Kombat if there are no graphic fatality moves in the game. Cassie Cage’s fatality proves that NetherRealm Studios continues to keep the trend while also introducing new generation Mortal Kombat Fighters.

Mortal Kombat 11 launches on 23 April, 2019 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Let us know what you think of the Cassie Cage reveal trailer in the comments below.
