Microsoft has announced that they will be hosting a new stream next week called ID@Xbox Game Pass and it will focus only on indie games. This announcement comes after mere hours of Sony’s announcement to host State of Play stream next week to announce details on the future of PS4 and PS VR games.
The first ID@Xbox Game Pass stream will take place on March 26, 2019, at 9:00 AM PDT. During this presentation, Microsoft will reveal information about all the upcoming ID@Xbox titles heading to Xbox Game Pass. New titles will be revealed during the presentation along with gameplay showcases of titles already revealed earlier.
Microsoft will also hold conversations with the developers of these indie titles and will share exclusive discussions about game development. Microsoft will also share more details about titles released earlier at E3 and the X018 event held last year in Mexico. Players can expect to see titles such as Afterparty, Void Bastards, and Supermarket Shriek.
During the first ID@Xbox Game Pass stream, the developers will also share a visit to Night School Studio which is the developer behind Oxenfree and share some behind-the-scenes look at their upcoming title Afterparty. Microsoft has been hosting Xbox Stream for quite some time but this specific series will be focusing only on indie titles.
We could say that this could be related to Nintendo’s Nindies presentations where they hold special presentations and reveal all the upcoming indie titles on their flagship console. Microsoft is now following suit and although they have been supporting indie titles for a long time with their ID@Xbox program, they are now starting a special stream to bring them to the front.
The first ID@Xbox Game Pass stream will take place on March 26, 2019, at 9:00 AM PDT and players can watch it right here.
