Metroid Prime 4 Missile Launcher Guide – How to Break Viewros Amber Blockades

Metroid Prime 4 Missile Launcher Guide

Samus has a lot of different powers that she can unleash on her enemies, and one of these powers is the Explosive Force, or, in easier terms, a missile launcher. You are given a small taste of Samus’ full wrath at the start, but you then have to hunt down these powers and abilities throughout the main story of the game. One such weapon is the Missile Launcher, which can open up paths that are blocked by Viewros Amber. This explosive weapon is able to grant you access to a lot of blocked areas. This Metroid Prime 4 Missile Launcher Guide will detail how you can get Samus’s missile launcher in the game.

How to Get Missile Launcher in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond

You can get the Missile Launcher again by locating and helping Myles, a member of the Galactic Federation. After you explore Fury Green for a while, specifically when you reach the Grove of the Sacred Tree, a message will pop up saying that a distress beacon has been detected nearby.

When you check your map, you will see a new objective marker in the Sinkhole area. You should move quickly to that area. This objective cannot be missed, as this can be seen easily on your map, but these steps will help you reach it easily if you are unsure where to go and are confused.

How to Reach Myles

  1. Starting at the Grove of the Sacred Tree, look at the southwest corner of the area.
  2. You will find a small opening sized perfectly for Samus’ Morph Ball.
  3. Roll through this tunnel and follow the straightforward path.
  4. Eventually, you will reach Myles, who is stuck on top of a ship being held up by strange plants.

When you start shooting the plants to free the ship and Myles, a group of enemies will appear and try to attack Samus. Defeat all of them, then continue clearing the plants until Myles safely reaches the ground.

Collecting the Missile Launcher

Once Myles is rescued, the back of the ship will open. Inside, near some crates, you will find the Missile Launcher upgrade. You can press R to shoot a missile, and these missiles can lock onto targets automatically. Just remember that they use ammo, so you cannot fire them nonstop without picking up more.

Now that you have the Missile Launcher again, you can finally break the Viewros Amber blocking your path. This lets you move deeper into Fury Green and continue Samus’ main mission.
